Start Up/ Shut Down Screens Don't fill (6000)

On my vx6000 the start up and shut down screens don't fill the entire screen, does any one else have this problem? None of my images be it 120x160 or 120x131 fill the entire screen when I use them for either start up or shut down. Am I doing some thing wrong? Also if some people could post a few that they got would be great too, I'm going for a "windows loading" and a "it's now safe to turn off your computer" type thing

You have to size them to 120 by 131 and they must be in .BMP format to fit on the phone without any white space showing.

The latest versions of BitPim (V. 0.7 beta 1 and 0.7 beta 2) automatically do this conversion when sending (for example) a .jpg file to the phone.

Yeah i do that, and at the top and bottom there are still blank black lines, where normaly the service and battery bars, and the menu and contacts bar is as well. I wanna fill the entire screen. It sounds like i'm the only one having this problem, and it's super anoying.

thanks.

You're not going to accomplish what it seems that you want. Those top and bottom status lines are there and you're not going to be able to remove them.

I know on a regular wallpaper, but i'm talking about for the start up and shut down screens. because when you use the images that come with the phone the one called "default" it fills the whole screen, but i just noticed that if you use any other, i get the same effect with the blank spaces at the top and bottom. so what makes that one different? It is animated, but there still must be a way to get the correct file type and size so that it fills correct.

thanks.

Ok, I understand what you're trying to do now. In that case you'd need a 120 by 160 bitmap. But then if you tried to use that picture for wallpaper, you'd have blank space on the sides I think.

I personally don't consider it that important to get rid of the black space on startup and shutdown, since you only see it for a few seconds, compared to wallpaper, which is there whenever you open the phone.
