NEC 525 headset connection

So, does anyone know if the headset connection is NEC proprietary, or will any 2.5mm headset work with it? If it is proprietary, is there an adapter or a source for different headsets? Thanks

Any 2.5mm plug headset should work. I know I've used non-NEC branded headsets, and they work fine.
