Syncing S56 - the end of me?

Trying to sync Siemens S56 via bluetooth to Microsoft Outlook on WinXP Pro machine (connected to Novell/Groupwise network). Am using latest version of Siemens DataSuite downloaded from My-Siemens.com.
Phone connects to the computer and sync begins, but no matter how I tweak/fiddle, I get the same message, which is essentially SyncML translator can't get permission to connect to profile. Anybody know a way through or around this?

Try using the data cable instead.

use the bluetooth software instead of the datasuite stuff.

Bluetooth software and datasync usb cable both hit the same brick wall. All say they can't get permission t access my personal folder.
Is it possible to sync using Lotus Notes?
