Focus going under 6th Major investigation

Apparently the US government is investigating the Ford Focus for the 6th time. The most of any car ever. This time it's concerning sudden engine stalling and possible front suspension collapse. Sorry I don't have any link. I just heard this on the news and thought I would post it up in case someone is considering one of these cars.

muahaha. stupid focus. focus on getting the car design right. LOL. that acronym for Ford, Fix Or Repair Daily is pretty true, but on a larger scale with the gov't! LOL

Focus on getting it right... hehe
When I see an Echo, I say: "You've got an ugly car....car...car...car........ca...r..."

p.s....echo owners please don't flame...just a personal opinion. just like the Aerio.

i believe at least the Echo is reliable. hehe. just a tad bit on the odd looking side.

what were the other 5 investigations for?

just curious cause I was driving a focus a week ago...few days later, YD let me drive a brand spanking new Sport Trak instead...

I would agree that echo is plain ugly...it looks as though it's been sandwiched by two cars...I wonder how it'll look like after an accident...

Yes count them 9 recalls. Latest was on the SVT.
Nhsta is investigating the focus again for safety concerns.
This seems to be a North American thing.
They are built at 2 plants here, one in the U.S., one in Mexico.
The latter is where the SVT comes from.
The European focus is built in Europe and aparently has
been fairly reliable.
Pity, the SVT is a nice package.

Don't forget the Echo's HUGE 13" rims looks so cool...

Just kidding...

why did they ever scrap the tercel?

I thought it looked so much better than an echo as an econobox...

Posted by: cellman

Tercel was a piece of crap....I think the reason why Toyota got rid of it was because of the engine....the engine tended to burn a lot of oil....saw a report on TV about it long time ago....

We had a 1989 Tercel before, bought from new. In 1997, it was totalled in an accident (somebody hit us).

In terms of performance, it is a piece of crap. Very slow, no steering feeling (similar to the present CIvic). But in terms of reliability, EXCELLENT ! No problem at all, no burning oil ...... (maybe the car is so simple so that there is no problem). Anyway, excellent reliability record !
