Help me please. I recently wasted $50 on the data cable for my KX414. I wish I would've found this site before I even got the phone. I have tried to get ringtones onto my phone by the methods talked about on this forum, but I must be doing something wrong. When I try to use Gagin, if I try to write a file to my phone, Gagin crashes (I'm running XP Home). If I try to use BitPim, I can write files to the sound/default folder, and they appear to be there. But, when I go to the phone and look at the Settings/RingerType, the ringers aren't there. Any help would be greatfully appreciated.
Thanks!

If you are only trying to copy ringers, all you need is the Kyocera Desktop Software that usually comes with the cable.
I have successfully used both GAGIN and BitPim .62 to a degree, but I would agree that it is a bit tricky. You have to make sure the cable and drivers are installed correctly for starters.
In gagin, when you run the balpatch, enter "user" as the root folder before you click on the exe to apply the folder.
I have not tried copying ringers this way, so I can't tell you if it will actually work or not.
