I am looking to buy a new replacement cam phone for my inno 90 soon so yea. BUt does the gx22 support like animated gifs or some kind of image format that 'moves'?

yes, gif works with GX-21

Yes it support animation but it animates quite slowly on the main display & quite smooth;y on the external screen. However it can't support quite long animations on the external screen. Maybe due to lack of memory or something.

So gif animations are slow on the main screen no matter what? That kinda suck....how slow exactly?

Actually GIF file move slowly on the main screen is because the relatively high res. picture used for the main screen. Bear in mind the resolution on the GX screen is more than twice as much as the Inno 90. If you just load the regular moving GIF and it will move just as fast, but the picture will be smaller than the screen.

Why not just resize it to 240x320?

Higher Res. Pic=Bigger File Size=Longer Load time=slow playback

If you are running a full size 240 x 320 GIF playback on main screen the speed was like 1/2 or 1/3 of the playback speed when you see on your computer. Which I think not nice feels very laggy.
Wonder they will change to a "Nvidia" chipset on the next next oncoming models to support smooth playback for GIF & Video capture.

can you use video taken by the camera as a background?

Posted by: Shihx79

too bad I don't think its do-able, at lease not on my GX-20....unlike the Inno 90, which u can use video background.
But even Inno 90 doesnt allow you to use the vdeo u took for background, only the one that came with the phone....and my data cable software doesnt seems to support video upload....sign....

I once saw my friend's Japanese handset, when u open the flip the phone will play this like 1 min high res. video complete with sound and everything.....maybe that will be possible on the upcoming GX-30

I don't think the upcoming GX-30 will able to do full animation like the Japanese phones. Its just a few minor upgrades on the phone. Just like they using 2.02M pixel on their lastest model of phones. The next upcoming GX-30 only using 1.1M pixel. So still gotta wait sometime....

Wait, doesnt the phone support some other type of animation as well? I remember reading that somewhere. Its some sharp designed thing.

I wanted an Innostream but then I found out that the pictures taken from the camera has a weird extension unlike the common camera cell phones(All in .JPEG/JPG) and the videos have no sound but same recording length. Does the Innostream phones have a flash along with the camera?

Posted by: a z n A6 b o y

The pictures are in .jpg extension. The videos are in .mjpeg extension and .mjpeg does not support sound so yea.

O my bad, there is a thread in here where somebody said the pics that was taken on his phone were not recongnised by his computer...now that you have cleared it up, this kinda makes me reconsider getting a Innostream now
heres the thread too:
