I am just wondering what is the difference between VGA, CCD, CMOS cameras...?? Is there any other types other than these?

Which one is better?

VGA means the resolution of the camera (640x480). CCD and CMOS are the kind of camera chips. CCD is more expensive and better for moving images (videos).

The GX22 hast a CCD type camera and VGA resolution.

But is CMOS faster then CCD though? (in terms of the viewing screen, as you all know there is a bit of lag when you move the phone around)

No, CCD is faster than CMOS. Therefore most digital cameras have CCD chips! CCD is the more expensive technologie.

This site advertises a "CCM" type camera. Is that a typo? Or is there actually such thing as a CCM camera?
