Battery overheated and doesn't charge up

the battery on my kyocera 2325 overheated while charging but continued working but does not charge up any more, any tips besides buying a new one?

Well i think the only thing to do would be to buy a new one since you can't fix batteries but maybe it's your charger and not your battery i'd test it out with amother charger first
