EVRC Code?

Does anybody know the EVRC code for the slider or what it does?

Don't know the code but I believe that menu will allow you to change your voice codec setting to either 8k, 13k or EVRC. I know in the past when trying to change the active codec on an old Motorola v60 it would always default back to EVRC once the phone was power-cycled. That being said I think the setting is forced by the network and manually changing it on the phone won't really make a difference. This is slightly different territory than using EFR/HFR on a GSM network.

yeah i donno the code but its most likely what he said. you can change this to 13k to make your calls clearer by going..

then:

Force Voice SO and set it to 13k

So 13k will make the calls more clear. What do you mean by that. Would you please explain that a little more.

The 13k codec sounds a little more full:

But it's noisier
Block errors cause much worse damage to the audio
Dropped calls and system busies increase if people use 13k (so for MY sake don't force 13k)
