GD55 keeps shutting off on me randomly

as title says. i just purchased this gd55 for my gf off this guy i know. and it just randomly shuts off. so my gf cant receive calls or anything. and when she's about to make a call it shuts off. especialy when i scroll constantly and it shuts down. my buddy says its a firmware problem. and the guy i bought the phone from says that also and is willing to pay for the upgrade, but i have received no further communication from him. is there a factory reset code i can fix this? cuz it worked for my siemens s40

i've had this phone for almost a year. never had any problem like that... sorry can't help u
