I am thinking about buying a Panasonic G50 but can't find much about it. In particular, I'd like to know what to expect for RF reception. Also would like to know what the battery life is like and how different it is from a G51. Does it have any really crazy quirks that I should know about? Right now I have an Ericsson R520m and a Nokia 3390. Thanks!

G50 only has CSD and G51 has GPRS.

The RF reception is as good as my Nokia 3590 and nearly as good as my X70.

Has some echo in it when using it hand held, I do not find it to be a problem, but others do.

SMS is difficult because of key size, placement of the printed text on the plastic and no backlight of the printed text
Finding some chars is difficult because of dual function keys.

For basic calling, it is a great (probably the best) shirt pocket phone out there. For more advanced features, probably pretty poor. I have done WAP surfing, but I need my glasses. On X70 it is no problem.
