Before I get flamed, I *have* searched this forum in its entirety for a good review, and I have yet to find one.

What do you guys think of this phone? Does anybody here have one who really likes it or really hates it?

My main concern is reception and sound quality. Part of the reason I'm steering clear of the VM4500 is because I've heard from various places that the earpeice gives poor sound quality, which I refuse to have for the amount that I would pay. So how is the reception and sound quality on this phone?

I think there might be some more posts on the sprint group on google.

I have posted there that I find the 5400 to be a great phone-and as everyone posts about their latest new phone, "best one I've owned'" The only fault, I have found, is the std battery just needs to be bigger--and there are several of the ext bats avail on ebay; getting one has made me even happier w/ the 5400.

reception, ear piece and speaker volumns are almost too loud.Haven't found a great case for it yet-

In defense of the 5500 those I have used appear to be identical in performance to a 5400--I just didn't want o waste $ on a cheap camera.
