I have a GX22, and it was working perfectly fine this morning. Even at school, i was taking pictures with it today, then at about lunch time, i pulled it out of my pocket to check the time but to my surprise, it was off. I tried to turn the phone back on, taking the battery out and putting it back in, holding it in a little tighter than usual, and well.. i dont know what else to do, i thought the battery was dead so i didnt try anything else after that. I got home just 20 mins ago, and stuck my other battery in, and still no turn on.

Im... really really kind of mad, because i've been taking such good care of it, i just got it last month. Any suggestions?

If you have a freind using a same model try borrowing his/her batt. to power up your phone. Make sure his/her batt is working fine on their phone.

1) If it work out fiine on your phone too by using their batts, I think you gotta "BOOST" up the batt voltage to at least 3.6v in order to power up the phone. Or using a mulitmeter to measure the of your batt. At leas needs a 3.6v to power up the phone.

2) If that fails too. Good luck man!
Moslty, some component in the phone fails to function properly.

Nope, i live in canada... and no one i know has the same phone as me because my dad brought it back from hong kong, and no one else really has any connections to out there. I do have two batteries, and both of them aren't working in the phone, so it must be the component problem... This sucks. When i put it on the desktop charger also, the flashlight doesn't light up, so im guessin some sort of problem inside. I don't know if any Sharp customer service here in manitoba even know's about this model, so i dont know if they can repair it... This is.. really stupid. Any more suggestions?

you can send it back to the dealer you bought from or ask sharp to give an adress to send it to be repaired

sometimes when you use a non-sharp battery, that is, a generic one, it can damage the phone and cause it to not function properly.

Maaaaan.. sending back all the way to hong kong is sooooo much work. Not to mention will cost me an arm and a leg, aaaaand the waiting time. And yeah.. it might have been the battery, cause my dad brought back 2, but the one i have been using for the past while was a "fujipower" battery as opposed to the sharp battery. I didn't think anything of it.. but for damn sure, im gonna use the sharp one and only the other as a backup. But yeah.. if sending it back to get it repaired is the only answer... oh man. maybe there's someone around that can fix just random phones? i dunno, we'll see... but if anyone else knows anything, it would a great help.
