I think that I am actually trying to figure out the same thing as you but in reverse. I have a fido 7210 and I can't stand the key pad so I am tryign to find out if I can convert it to a 6610. Have you confirmed that this is possible? I thought it might be because they have the exact same dimensions but it seems that no one has any information about if it's possible or how to do it.

It is definately possible... I really want the black middle housing of the 6610 but keep the 7210 keypad. I took apart my 7210 today a little bit and I found out that there are two parts of its main board... there's one part that's the LCD screen and keypad, and another that's really the brains of the phone. Both parts are connect by a small white connecter at the top of the phone. If you disconnect that, you can swap the screen/keypad part from a 6610 --> 7210 and vice versa since the phones are the EXACT SAME THING except for that screen/keypad part (the keypad contacts are ordered differently). If anyone wants to make a trade with me of middle housings (I have the pearl white 7210 one, I want a grey 6610 one), PM me and we can "discuss".

Lol... Why don't you guys just swap? It's pretty much the same phone, just different looks.
