Bare with me all cause I’m not too good with the tech stuff. I have an sl56 with Cingular and I’m having a problem opening a file a friend sent me through MMS. She has a V400, so we are both Cingular customers. We both have data connect pay per use internet and MMS on our accounts. When I receive the message I open that and the attachment in it. After opening the attachment it asks me where I want to save it. I forward the file to one of my folder; go to that folder and I get nothing. I mean I get to look at the file name but when I highlight the file the only options I have are tomark/unmark the file copy, sort or get file info. Please help.

A friend of mine also told me Cingular is going through some MMS problems right now in the New York market. Has anyone else heard anything about this?

I actually found out what was going on myself before anyone could post a reply if you all cared to. When saving the attachment which was a picture I noticed that it was being saved as other. Meaning it had no file extension for it. I told the sender to rename the file (filename).jpg before sending it. That seemed to do the trick.
