According to a cellphone shop in Miami, Flordia (cant remember the name... If/when I do Ill post it) the Sendo X has been released in Europe. But the phone there doesnt supports the US GSM frequencies....

Anybody know if there's any truth to that?

The Sendo X has yet again been delayed.... On the site Celluloco.com, it had the date set for Feb. 23rd for awhile, now they pushed it the the 18th of March..... I just want this phone already! Have had it on back-order since November... Anyone have any ideas?!?

Strange... I played with it at a mall in Florence Italy months ago.... It is a very nice phone and it Does have USA frequencies. Much smaller than I thought it would be and the screen is amazing!

i'm one of those who've been waiting for this sendo x since october last year. seems to be suffering from siemens sx1-itis! however recently there is a great optimism circulating many forums about the x's release. there have also been siginificant improvements made to the original sendo x - the "carbon-fibre" effect on the flanks and the removal of the hideous blue ring around the "joystick" as well as a more stable software version. all these only point to an eventual release. word is that it will be released (for something around 500 euros) around the Cebit show that runs from the 18th-28th March (if i'm not mistaken). Hope i've satisfied any queries

I wrote that quote in February... That phone is not even worth waiting for anymore.... I wanted that phone in Oct/Nov, but technology moves so fast that there are better things on the horizon... I have my eye on the Nokia 7610 or SE S700... (What can I say?!? The camera is important to me!)

true but apart from the camera, the X isn't lacking anything major. It will still be up there with the best of smartphones. News is that its to be released in italy and spain around the 15th of next month with a later introduction in germany. anyway it coming out is certain as there are tons of recent pics and videos of the X anyone can find on the web and all major review centres are said to have close-to-final versions of the phone.

Yeah, I didn't mean to make it seem like the Sendo X is totally ancient technology.... It supposedly has a great processor, very good 65K screen, video that can record up to 30 minutes, and an improved version of Series 60....

My only problem is that they waited so long to bring it out that it's only got Symbian 6.0 when all other phones are going to 7.0...

I guess I shouldn't say anything until I try it! But it still looks like a great top-of-the-line smartphone....

Very true. After the wait its kinda lost its wow factor now. But I still want one for sure.

The same thing happend with the Motorola v600. At the time of reading about it, it was one of the greatest phones to be on paper. Now that its out and get-a-ble... It just lacks some of the stuff I would like in a expensive cellphone. But thats just me.

The other phones I saw that really caught my eye was a Motorola v80. It swivels like a v70 but has a better look. And if I remember right, was in color and all kinds of other goodies. I dont think it was Symbian though... Plus its not out yet.

I hate having to wait for good phones to come out. I wish I could find a phone that I liked and buy it without having to wait such a long time for it. But thats just me...

Hopefully, the next post in this thread will be a link to buy it

I agree with you guys. They have somehow lost their momentum.

Still, it will be interesting to see how well it sells (if it will ever come out !!).

Nice pics.... Best ones I've seen so far in regards to that phone...
The screen of the Sendo X doesn't seem to be as bright as the Nokia 7610.... Any word yet on when it'll be released? That link was in French ....

WOW!

Very Nice.

All of those phones in those pictures are nice... I swear, I make those expressions looking at those photos... But, as sad as it is to say, the Sendo X doesnt look as nice as the Nokia 7610. Plus its not a good spec wise... Which is a ×××× shame... I still want one, but at this point I really think the 7610 takes the cake for best phone right now.

Who knows.... I was one of those people that wanted it since Oct/Nov of last year.... I scrapped the sendo X and got a Nokia 7610 instead...

The only thing we know about it is its FCC approved... No set release date to this day....

I just ordered it yesterday based on the reviews of Rabid and Wakari... it seems to have everything I want in a phone. I really didn't care about a radio or stereo sound..... I bought it basically for the camera and it's size and also for the Symbian OS.... I should be recieving it tomorrow....

OKay cool. Youll have to let us know what you think about the phone

I agree though, it looks great. Camera looks awesome, size doesnt really impress me, and the Symbian OS is almost a must now adays....

After some reading on various forums, it sounds like the X will be released sometime this month. I can't guarantee this but I also received a response email about my inquiry, i.e. release date and got the idea that it was to be coming out soon...I really hope so...

Why is there no comparsion between SX-1, Sendo X and 7610 and 6600. These are all Symbian phones. Instead u compare it with small screen phones like T630, N6230.
