Ok, on the LG6000, you can record a voice memo, save it, and set it to play as your ringtone. Can this be done with the 8900?

Not that I am aware of, but you can set a voice recording (mp3) as a ringtone if you transfer it over using either www.vzwpix.com , your own email, or a data cable.

Heh... awesome, I didn't think of that. Don't you get charged 25c though? Plus what kind of audio format does it record in? I would think that it would not allow you to save non-midi files for use as ringers.

na man, it should let you do it. remember, the phone can play mp3s, so a voice memo should be no problem. ive yet to try it, but if you want me to i will and ill post my results here later.

yeah, i just tried it and it works fine. i actually have me screaming in a weird way as my ringtone now... that should get some interesting looks when it rings at work

the file format is .qcp btw, so i dont know what can play those on the computer, but the fone likes them just fine.
