Nice one Mark.... Ok, I ordered one of these babies and should have it in a few weeks..... Shipping out of Singapore by slow boat/ship.

Frank,

Cancel you're order and get a real headset like the Digital Bluespoon. I picked up that headset for my wife. I got it for $69 at Ciricuit City. AEI BTN0010001 @circuitcity.com

Sound quality is terrible, coming from a BlueSpoon and it so uncomfortable to the ear

I used to have the Bluespoon but I went through 3 of them and could never get one that would work right so I finally gave up on them.

As for the Omni, I'll try it out and see what happens. I have the HBH-65 right now which works perfectly with the P900 but I wear glasses about 2wks out of each month and I need something without the ear hook.

Frank

The Omni (or Actiontec) uses an Earhook like the SE HBH-65. You just don't see it in that display picture

I have one of these little babies. It's really small, really light, and battery life is really much better than my old HBH-30 (which I've owned and used for 2 years+). This came free with the purchase of a Panasonic X70 mobile phone and works right out of the box with the P900.

The range on this isn't great, at least with the P900. I'm starting to suspect that the Bluetooth radio on the P900 is the problem (weak transmission), and not the BT headsets that I connect with with. However, using it with the X70, I have found the range to be adequate all the way up to 10 m (with little in the line of sight).

It's light as claimed, but the fit tends to be a point of contention if your ear is too big or too small. Too small, and it won't fit into the ear canal. Too big, and it falls out easily, even with the sponge bits. This comes with an extra ear loop and a necklace-type holder, and one can use the latter to improve fit for those with larger ears.

I'm able to get around 3 hours of talktime when connected to my P900. I believe users of T68 and T610/T630 phones should be able to get more out of this since the Ericsson T-series phones utilise a more energy-efficient HV audio codec than the P900. Still, 3 hours isn't bad, and I get approx 2 to 3 days of standby with moderate usage per day.
