i was wondering if we can get a thread or sticky put up with the p900 bluetooth's connection range with another device. could be any device such as another phone or a headset or ur pc. also compatibility withs the two devices. this is wat i've tried.

p900 and t610

50ft with no walls in the way.
30ft with two walls

pretty impressive since the range is only 10meters and that's about 33-35 feet or so. i used sman to bluejacked the other phone. i dont know if this is a reliable way to do it but if others knows of better ways let me know and i will try

(50ft) i did this in my apt living room and its about that long including the kitchen also.

(30ft) i did this sitting in my room and sending it across two rooms. i believe is pretty good too.

p900 and hbh-30

10ft is the most i can get out of without losing connection or the other callers voice fading in the distance. but i guess if u just leave ur phone in ur pocket or just around ur car if u driving then its crystal clear.

let me know wat other devices u guys have and how's the pairing and range on them. i think this will be nice for others that has bluetooth which wants to buy another bluetooth just for this reason. i want to say pairings between 2 devices besides the p900 but this is uiq forum and i dont know how the mods feel about that. hey i almost forgot the p800. sorry to leave u p800 owners out hehe.

Just Reviving an old thread to see if anyone else has some more input as per range with the P900, because as it stands 10Ft falls a little short of what i would hope for. Has There been any tests with any other BT headsets?

silly question, but are you able to conduct a phone call with BT headset, and use the PDA functions of the phone?

hmm... actually i've never tried it b4. i will test it out and let u know.

i just called up my voicemail with my hbh-30 connected and while listening to the machine talk i was able to use all my pda functions. i was accessing handy day and sman and my messages. i assume that all other functions should work too. i did this with the flip open and i believe it should work with flip closed too, i dont see why not.

Yeah all of the functions will work while on a call. Just a lot easier to to with a BT headset! That's one of the reasons the P900 is so handy...you can be on a call and access various pieces of information stored on the phone or programs while on the phone. It's quite useful. If one couldn't, it'd defeat the purpose of having it replace having a PDA and a phone. And yes...it does work in flip closed mode as well.
