Power-off button doesnt work on SL55

Turning on my SL55 requires nothing. But turning it off is a different story. I press and hold the red power button and wait maybe 10 seconds and still nothing. I have to let go and hold again and maybe let go and hold a third time to finally get it to shut off. Anyone else?

wen i used ma dads SL56, i also had trouble turning the fone off. see, with my 7210, its also hard to press the power button. the only way i turn my 7210 on/off is buy jamming my middle finger into the power button. the fone turns on!! same thing with ma dads SL56: i hav 2 jam my middle finger into the power button.

**btw, this isnt a joke. i seriously do this lol!!!**

I had a problem with my arrow pad on my sl56, it stopped working. What I did was take it a part w/ a torx 4 and a torx 2 screwdriver. It sort of fixed itself once I put it back together. Kind of like a playstation 2 controller. I dont know if that will help you any. That is what I did when one of my buttons was not working.
