Rave Battery Dead after top-up

My 3 month old Virgin Mobile Kyocera KE433 Rave was fully charged and working fine. SHut phone off Thursday evening.
Was time to top up so I logged onto to Virgin Mobile and top upped through the web that same night. Friday morning turned phone on and found low battery message and message with top up and phone shut off a few seconds later because of low battery.I Charged phone again and found same problem this morning.. I strongly feel the top up possiblly corrupted the firmware casuing the phone to drain overnight.. I just removed the battery 5 minutes to reset the phone and it is now being charged and I will see what happens tomorrrow.
Has anyone experienced anything like this before.. Battery and phone was fiine untill the top up and I feel its too much of a coincidence.

Also anyone know the warranty on this phone and battery.

There is no official warranty but i'm sure they'll send you a new battery free of charge . Give them a call ...

There is a 1-year warranty provided by Kyocera. First, I would try calling Virgin Mobile and see what they can do to help you.

I got a K-7 Rave (Ke433?) right after Christmas. I used it fine for the first few days. I topped it up with a $30 card and now I can't use it. It shows a charge, I try to make a call and then it dies. I recharged it, and the same thing happens. The part I don't get is that it shows a charge until I make a call...
I called Virgin Mobile my service provider and they are picking the phone up tomorrow via FED-X. I should have my new phone in 5-10 days. Kyocera comes with a 1 yr. warranty on parts and labor.
Let's just hope my next phone lasts longer than a few days...
