I have been doing a lot of research into unlocking phones using their MSLs and whatnot. Am I right in thinking that I cant use bitpim with my sanyo 5150? I realize its not on the lis, however it says it may be compatible with other phones. I have been struggling with this program for about 2 hours.. the best I can make it do is download an incomplete phonebook. Everything else times out. Im using a straight serial cable with this. Will this program just not work with 5150s? And if so whats a 5150 user to do connectivity wise without bitpim? Is there no other software that offers the same or similar functions? Also, I am unsure of the state my phone needs to be in during the synching. It didnt seem to need to be in PC sync.. but then again i never really got it to work quite right either. I cant even repeat getting the phonebook with regularity. Any help would be appreciated! Also any misc sanyo codes are useful too.... well some of them. Thanks.

what programs do you need? I got sanyo multimedia master and sprint PCS Dialer Ver. 2.01 for the 5150

Henshi, could you post some more details about the BitPim 5150 problems over at the BitPim sourceforge page. Either post to one of the BitPim mailing lists or submit a bug report. With your help we might be able to add support for the 5150 to BitPim.

excuse me for not having followed up on this, but my friend has two sanyo phones (8100+4500) and got a usb cable for it. what are the "normal" set of tools used in this? cust. service gave him garbage about switching over to his other phone, so we were thinking that if he could clone the esn on the other phone and just leave the old phone off, all would be good? even if this isnt so, what are the general suite of softs?

thanks
