I've had a 6310i for a few days now (thanks Adam R.), and here is a mini-review.
I have ranked each category out of 5 and have given a comparison to my T68i:
Looks (4/5):
-Very good looking (I have the "lightning silver"). Especially good for business people, very refined. The fact that it looks like a 61xx series phone may turn some people off (as with the size). Same rating as the T68i but for different reasons (different audience of user).
Build Quality (5/5):
-Very Solid. MUCH better than T68i.
Size (3/5):
-Very comfortable to use, but not good for carrying in pants or shirt pocket. This is very subjective, so for some this may be a 5/5. I would rank the T68i higher for portability (of course).
Bluetooth (3/5):
-Doesn't allow me to use my HBH-15 BT headset in the same manner as with the T68i. Once I'm out of range with the headset, I have to manually re-pair the devices every time! With the T68i it will automatically connect whenever a call comes in, or an outgoing call is made. I've read that this is due to the way that Nokia searches for BT devices compared to Ericsson. Nod to Ericsson for this one.
Keypad: (5/5):
-Excellent quality. Very Solid. Impossible to hit the wrong key by mistake. Good for people with fat fingers. Better than T68i.
Screen: (3.5/5):
-Nice big screen, but I don't like the fact that there is no choice of font sizes. You would think Nokia would offer something similar to Motorola and Ericsson to take advantage of the screen size. Nod goes to Ericsson on this one (except for in direct sunlight where the T68i is harder to see).
Battery: (5/5):
-This is a draw with the T68i. Very long lasting, but a little misleading. Meter doesn't seem to drop linearly (same problem as with older Nokias).
User Interface (4/5):
-Interesting. I actually think that this a draw between the two phones. If you do SMS, 6310i is better, otherwise I think the T68i is better.
-The UI is faster on the Nokia (no question)
-Ericsson has shortcuts that make it quicker to access frequently used options.
-The joystick on the T68i is much better for navigating.
-Nokia's sub-menus don't have all the items listed on the same screen, so it's impossible to enter a menu item number as a shortcut unless you memorize them! Ericsson lists all sub-items together, making it easier to use.
-SMS is better on the 6310i just because it's faster.
Sound Quality (4.5/5):
-Excellent. Nice full sound quality with some bass to it without sounding muddy. Better than T68i.
RF: (4/5):
-I tested these phones with a Rogers SIM in my house since it is on a fringe area (kinda like Steve P's weak area in Mississauga he uses to test his phones).
-I would be able to connect my call almost the same number of times with both phones. Three to four times out of ten for the T68i. Four to five times out of ten for the 6310i.
-For the calls that did connect, the 6310i held on to the call for about 10 seconds longer than the T68i (based on a one minute call).
-However, the T68i's outoing sound quality was less "garbled" for a longer time than the 6310i.
-The signal meter is definitely optimistic on the 6310i. I dropped calls where I would have 1-2 bars of signal, where the T68i would hold on until there was nothing showing.
-In summary, it looks like the Nokia can hang onto calls longer, but the poor audio quality of those "fringe" calls make the phone useless anyway.
-My verdict for RF then is a virtual wash (no screaming please!).
If I've missed anything, let me know.

I'm carrying a Nokia 63xx prototype right now, which is within a few grams the weight of the 6310i. Size is almost identical in all dimensions. I was just commenting to one of my buddies at work today comparing Nokia phones:
9290 - not pocket friendly
61xx - suited to pants pockets, and just barely shirt chest pocket
63xx - perfect size for pants and shirt
82xx - too small (for me at least)
I'm about 6' 4" so that will suggest why I'm biased towards certain sizes.
By the way, has anyone tried Voice Tags (or commands) without removing the phone from a chest pocket? I find that I'm able to locate the 'voice-button' by pressing the outter layer of cloth, and that recognition is highly accurate.
As far as I'm aware, I'm the only one I know that routinely puts their phone in a shirt pocket (maybe I'm the only person I know that has a shirt pocket
)
