Originally posted by AudioAltima I driven that it was ok, I preferred the Carrera 2 though.... Also took a top speed run in a 911 Turbo, I hit 186 mph, but the car started to feel a little 'floaty' at 180mph... but by for, for fun factor and comfort was the 2 seater MB SL600!! never got that fast in it, more or less just cruised, but the power off the line was just unbelievable! |

. I live in SO. Florida so that scenario is very much a good possibilty.

Originally posted by VerizonHater wow nice ride peoples..umm..no one I know has a fast car..just regular hondas and fords..except for my cousins Trans Am..and I won't even bother asking because the answer is an automatic NO. Originally posted by nxt that SL500 is so sweet, btw, I crashed it! My friend was taking his other friend home and I and him were going to go to the movies, and he made me drive (I wasn't going to refuse... it wasn't my first time driving the SL). BTW the 3rd friend was sitting in the back (there's no seats) and we told him about the roll bar on the SL. the car will know if it'll flip and the roll bar will pop up in under .X seconds.... Anyways we nearly reach his house and there's this tight right curvy turn and they urged me on to haul ××× on it... well I did it... It was dark, 7pmish, i didn't see any incoming lights so i gunned it... was making the turn and.... HEADLIGHTS!!!!!! WHAM.. boom.. SCCCCRRREEEACCCHHH. Head on collision with tiny little ford escort. ×××× it sucked. My friend sitting on the back ducked down in time before the roll bar popped up (or else his head woulda been off heh...) |

You can put your foot down and just GO without worrying too much about what gear you are in. A little too rich for me at the time I picked up a 2003 Carrera 4S instead. Very happy with it

Originally posted by AudioAltima I've hit (an indicated) 186mph in a 911 turbo..... eventually I did get that tunnelling effect. I did it on Hwy 40 about 2 yrs back, it wasnt smart to do, but hey.... i had the car, and there was absolutely NO ONE on the road around 4 am during the week. But at that speed the car felt 'floaty' .... didnt have that same stick to the road feeling. |

Originally posted by mikeman075 The most powerful car i've ever driven was a 2002 Infiniti Q45 with 340 horsepower. Honerable mentions include a Volvo S80 T6 and a Ford Mustang GT 5.0 The fastest I've ever driven was back in high school in my '87 Acura Integra. I was on the Tappen Zee bridge in NY about 2AM and got it up to 112MPH. It felt pretty stable at that speed. My '93 Maxima would feel great at 100+ but I haven't gotten up there, and to be honest I don't plan to either. Knowing my luck some old guy in a Buick or Lexus ES330 would veer into my lane killling us both . I live in SO. Florida so that scenario is very much a good possibilty.

Originally posted by Fakie I used to be a valet in the Beverly Hills area and such so I have driven a lot of nice cars. The only cars that I never drove that I wanted to was a Viper and a Lambo. Yeah, being a valet has its perks. |

Originally posted by Fakie The company that I worked for didn't just work at certain restaurants, it was mostly a private party deal. Organizations, clubs, celebrities, and rich people would call up and hire us. And about the powerbraking thing... let's just say that after having been a valet and having seen what goes on, I never valet my car. I will park out on the street if I have to (It's only a Civic). It always amazed me to see how easily these people handed the keys to their $100,000+ cars to a valet. Ajponu, what company do you work for? |
A nicely built and boosted b20b in a little hatch that does low 12's in the 1320 is fun also.

I don't have to worry, there's so few places in Vancouver that have valet... there's valets everywhere in LA, even some shopping malls have them.

Originally posted by Shawn_230 We have a 230, it's a cool car. It's not fast or anything, but it's fun to drive mainly because it's a convertible. It has very few kilometres on it too, like 11,000 since March 1999. Do you want it?
