ok i remember someone saying something about a "virtual handshake" that virgin mobile uses so that you can download their ringers...so my question is...why doesn't someone set up a server or something, access it with their phone, try and download an object file, and then read the server's history to see what the phone was asking for; and vice versa, access virgin mobile wap with an emulator or something and see what they send out to the phone, so that we can give the protocol to free ringer services or to someone who will set up a site for free vm ringtones. i know im probably oversimplifying this so pleaz sum1 one tell me if this is a plausible idea or not.

Why don't you try it?

While your idea is definantly interesting and sounds like we could eventually do it, the use of a data cable is a much easier and readily available solution.
