I think there's a bad connection on the input jack.

I can hear the other party, but they can't hear me unless I pull down the plug on the handsfree set. That creates downward pressure on the jack. If I'm lucky, they can still hear me after I release that pressure.

There can also be a bit of crackling as well before my voice goes in and out.

Is there a service manual for the SCP-5300? I would like to take it apart and see if I can do anything about it. My local Sprint store upgraded the firmware around Feb 1, 2004. Any more thoughts would be appreciated. I've already thought about a new phone, too, Darkflight.
