I have ordered ringtones from Pimptones.com, for my LG G4010 Cell phone. The ringtone is sent to me in a textmessage form, and when I connect to the web page, everything works until it gets to the download option, it says: 500:Web service problem. Please contact the service provider. I've contaced pimptones.com and they said that they were having problems with their website but now it is fixed. I've tried refreshing the page, and resending the ringtone's for a couple of days now. Does anyone have any suggestions?

An alternative that worked for me. 3gupload.com has a feature where you can listen to ringtones, find the ones you like, then send them to a *locker*. Access your locker from your phone and save each ringtone to your phone. It was easier for me than the other options.

They worked fine with my LG4050. The 4010 is similar with a few less functions. It was definately worth it for me to get rid of the Cingular wallpaper and lame ringtones. My guess is that it will work.

Ok, I am still hesitant to sign up to 3gupload.com, because they only have the lg4050 as an available phone, not the 4010. So I don't want to pay money again, and not get any ringtones.

Does anyone know if I can use chose the other LG phone, to send ringtones to my LG G4010, From 3gupload.com. If So, is there really away the the $10 donation?

First off, there is no need to donate...unless you want to.

Second, 4010 will not download ringtones through wap. There might be a way, but as far as anyone knows we can't.

You will need to get a data cable to get ringtones to the 4010. I should be getting mine in the mail soon.

I have the 4010, and I've downloaded dozens of ringtones now, so you definitely can download through WAP... My difficulty is that the only ones I can get are the pooey 5-tone polys from Rogers, because I don't know the file format for the 40-tones, or where/how to get them. Can anyone enlighten me?

anyone?

so basically you can not download ringtones through wap on the lg 4010?
and we need a data cable to replace ringtones?

can anyone confirm this?

or can we send ringtones through icq via sms?

YES, you CAN download ringtones through wap to the 4011.

The ringtones must be in the .mmf format.
If you have a midi convert it to .smaf (mmf) with PSMPlayer and set your tones up on a personal wapsite through tagtag.com.

-Can anyone confirm this?

i can't even log onto tagtag.com from my wap on my lG 4010

danng, this phone is good, but if only it was easy to download ringtones on this phone ...the phone would be amazing!
