sms with flip closed!!!!!!!

hey can someone pls help me with this .when i select create sms with the flip closed & then when i have to insert the destination number now over here suppose i want to send the sms to "john" here the software of this phone dosent allow me to go to "john" directly what i mean to say is i have to select "j" then scroll till i find "john" which is very irritating is there a solution for this ? & the same applies when i have to forward a message to someone.kindly replto me at aziz@vsnl.com coz the email add i had provided in this forum is having some problems from its server.
