GPS on 8900?

Is there any way to tell your GPS coordinates on the 8900? I'm wondering why the hell it would have the option to have GPS on all the time. Maybe if your phone got stolen? I dunno.
Has anybody used that mobile mapquest? Maybe it uses it?
Maybe there's a program somewhere that will specifically do it? Not that I'd have much use for knowing my GPS coordinates, but it seems like it'd be kinda fun.
