P800, no storage memory left

Well, I had a blown install of a program that is leaving a pretty big file behind. I had 1.7 megs of storage, and tried to install a 1.1 meg program to memory stick. The installation hung and eventually crashed. Now my phone is saying it is low on storage, and takes forever to do anything. I can't seem to get into it to free up memory. It just hangs and hangs whenever I try to select storage manager. Any suggestions?

go into file manager and locate the folders that the offending application created, and delete it.

better yet if you have a pc and a memory stick reader, you can do it from your pc. just make sure you're deleting the right files/folders.
