P900 Calendar Language Bug?

What's up with that bug? I have a p900, I hadn't seen any bug but I had read about it. right up until tonight tho, i was setting a reminder and behold, AM AND PM are in chinese... sure it's no big deal figuring it out but is that the bug people talk about when they say "Calendar bug?" or is there something else going on in p900 from hong kong? this sucks, I downloaded the american language pack from sonyericsson.com but it still has some chinese crap. I know some of you complain about this but i have not seen any definite solution.

Also, the language packs, they say they support a range of organizer versions but they don't support mine! (the language pack still work but ...) what's up with that? is it gona be supported in the future?

Thats the problem with the chinese versions. I dont think the chinese model has updated firmware yet. Because the organizer does not match, you will probably see incompatibilities.

If you dont want the chinese, you might be able to find someone who does want it and swap units.

I have the same Hong Kong model and I see the same - plus the "UNFILED" category is in Chinese. Plus jot recognition is buggy (try "i" for instance). We need a firmware upgrade soon!

PS or can I take the chinese stuff off entirely? Since I cannot read Chinese it's less than useful :-)

I think you can't delete the chinese version at all.

Yeah I called Sonyericsson and the guy did tell me that their upgrades and stuff were a bit crappy at the moment and that in the future all of our stuff should be supported

Im not sure if typing with the stylus is buggy or maybe they just changed it. I know typing the "i" is tough but you get a list of possible matches in the bottom which is cool, then you just go and click on there.

Yeah it is true I guess by installing a language for a different organizer version I will see some incompabilities but if they are small things like an unfiled folder in chinese or the pm or am in the calendar I guess it is no big deal and I can live with that until we get our firmware upgrade.

Also, swapping with someone who wants a chinese phone sounds smart but I think I rather keep this one i bought it brand new and I dont know. since it's the best phone ever made I guess it already grew on me
