Question about the 8900

does anybody know why the ringer volume is randomly sometimes significantly lower than at other times? Ill double check to see if the volume is all the way up and it is, yet it rings at more than half the volume then if I were to go into the media gallery and play it from there. And to make it even more strange, this only happens sometimes, randomly. Is this not random and i just havent figured out the pattern? is it a setting?

I have also noticed this problem... however I dont think its random. I actually think it only happens when the phone is flipped open....
I was trying to test the individual ringer i set for when my roomate calls. I had the phone flipped open, tested the file from gallery (sounded great), had him call and i got half volume with vibrate, tested again from gallery (still good), had him call again with phone closed and everything worked fine.

come to think of it, youre 100% correct. Now that I think back on it I realize every time the volume was lower is when it was open....cudos to you jay5
