8900 Help Please.....

My 8900 randomly plays sounds. It's the same sound over and over but it's doing it for no reason at all or no reason that I know of. I'm not receiving a TXT message or pic or anything. Does this happen to anyone else and if so how do you fix it cause it's driving me up the wall.

Try turning off all the alerts in Menu->7->1->3. Maybe your phone is making noise when it switches NAM/roaming...etc.

Did you set-up your voicemail?

Same thing happened to me, I had ported my number over to Verizon from ATT recently. I'm embarassed to say that it turned out to be just the phone telling me that I had some voicemail messages. I even took the phone back to the Verizon store thinking that something was wrong with the phone because my wife's 8900 wasn't making these sounds.

Once I set-up my voicemail account with Verizon, I could get access to my voicemail and clear them out.
