Slider Problems

i recently purchased a slider and placed it onto my desk... after i had activated it with verizon wireless my computer started to slow down greatly which confuses me because my wireless router operates at a different frequency but i have not had any problems with my other phones which were all verizon cdma phones.........

b and g operate on the same frequency. This is interesting though... performance is bad, but if you power off the phone it suddenly turns great, then power the phone on and it suddenly goes bad again?
