I'm on Verizon with an LG VX6000 and im really interested in the Slider and i might want to buy it for a "second phone" on Virgin's prepaid. Do you recommend i should do this? And one more question if i get the right esn, how do you do the FREE WAP becuase i searched and nothing came up and also does it cost 10 cents a day like u were using the VIRGIN XTRAS?

Yes you should buy this phone. To get the free wap, you simply add a contact url and highlight the url and push the call button. The esn is somewhere on this forum

i have a verizon wireless service.. how do i get the virgin mobile prepaid phoneto get it to work with the verizon service?

will the verizon store charge me anything??

change 868666 --> 000000 [OK]
[BACK]

Verizon needs it to be 000000 so that you can do Over The Air programming and PRL update. Remember to use 000000 and not 868666 as the SVC code next time you go back into this programming screen.

(NAM2 is used by Verizon, might need to enter the following info for NAM1 also):

NAM2 Info [OK]
MIN [OK]
[BACK 10 times to delete] 0000000658 --> 10-digits phone num [OK]
check MDN, should be the same
Home SID [OK]
find out your home SID from http://www.bridog.net/cellular/sid.txt
drop the leading 0's, ie 00030 -> 30
Extra NAM Info [OK]
CDMA NAM Info [OK]
Home SID/NID [OK]
enter in the same SID as above for both SID and NID

exit programming screen, press hang up

now dial *22801 option 1 to activate with verizon, it'll also update the PRL

now verify your PRL
##786 [TALK]
Verizon's PRL should show 42xxx, 50xxx, or 52xxx
Sprint PRL is 10xxx

i'd say it's pretty likely... you should look around other places too, such as comp-usa, virgin megastore, circuit city, etc.

so if I bought a Kyocera SE47 Slider off ebay or from Best Buy that is set for Virgin I could use it with Verizon? Nice.

I've been looking to buy a LG VX6000 and this would be a good alternative, how do the SE47 and VX6000 compare beside the camera? Does SE47 have BREW 2 and WAP downloading for backgrounds, ringtones, and games?

If you do that and setup the Slider on Verizon, you wont be able to access Get It Now because that is only on verizon phones ( LG VX6000 has it ) you would need to get it flashed but i dont think verizon flashes the slider and im not sure if you can access Virgin Xtras anymore.. but remember im not sure.. and i think the 6000 has a better color screen, both use Cables to download ringers and wallpapers on the phone, the 6000 has a bigger screen but for more info go to www.phonescoop.com and compare the two... i have an LG VX6000 and its great!

I got a question to the programming sequence for the kyocera Ke433 I am trying to switch over to verizon but after completeing step by step configuration and dial #22801 It says on screen OTSAP incorrect and when I dial #228 it connects me to sprint could you please tell me why? and what I will need to fix to switch Service providers. Also when I try to get into SVRC SEC it says is disabled how can I enable if possible with this model?

I know I made a typo I dialed *228 and *22801 it still connects to sprint ???? dunno what to do tho man

Did you put the ESN number that you need on VZW's website?
