My lg vx 6000 came without the verizon wireless banner, I was happy that it didn't have it until I got my data cable and can't put something ele there. Is there a way I can get it back?

Mine wasn't on there at first until I did an update. Dial *228 and select 1 and then 2 and it should show up.

I have the data cable and so I can change it so it isn't verizon wireless but something like xtrellweb

If your phone doesn't have the verizon wireless banner why don't you just put:

Menu > 9 > 2 > 1 > Then type xtrellweb

I get what you were trying to do, but I don't know if that's possible anyway (correct me if i'm wrong).

Even with the verizon banner you can add your own message above that on the screen. Being that it's not there anyway, all you will see is xtrellweb.
