Wallpaper Inno 90

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: Funmap

Hi - I want to transfer a picture via E-Mail to my Inno and set it as wallpaper. Does anybody know what size the picture must have so it fits the screen? Thanks for your help!

Posted by: ataq

i believe its 196x220... hopefully im right

Posted by: Funmap

Are you sure - sounds pretty big to me?!

By the looks of the screen, it should be 128x160 cuz 128x128 are for Samsungs V200, E715 and SE T61x cuz they have the same size resolution but they have borders.

Hi - I just downloaded several cool wallpapers from the site wap.sonyericsson.com. I chose the Z600 and there you go. The site appears in color on the screen and you can even preview the pics as they are displayed in a list before you dowload them. Most of them (like starfish) fit the main screen perfectly and look really great! You do not have to sign in to download either. Well done Sony Ericsson (unlike Samsung that does not let you access its site with a non-Samung phone)!

Then the wallpaper size should be 128x128 then.
Here's some links that I have participated in(if you have a datacble):

Sony Ericsson T610/T616/T630/Z600
Samsung S100/V200/E715

If you see my posts with "red x's" then just right click and hit properties and copy the address and open it. Stupid imagestation is screwed up now for picture linking.

Thats what I was thinking, cuz the innostreams don't have a border on the top and bottom. Thanks for clearing that up frankie.

Posted by: Funmap

This is what I like about the Innostreams. The viewable are is much bigger than on my E700!

Can the Inno 90 display animated gifs?

Posted by: Funmap

I do not know yet. I am waiting for my data cable and software and will tell you about it!

Posted by: Kricket

i just downloaded some animated gifs from the sony ericsson wap site (wap.sonyericsson.com) and they seem to be working just fine

Posted by: Funmap

Cool!

Posted by: rock_bottom

awesome. can you display it on the outside lcd or just the inside one.

Posted by: Kricket

oh wow - i never thought of that

but i just tried it and success! it works on both the external and internal displays!

Posted by: braindead5400

Wirelessly posted (Hittin it from behind: SE47/1.0.00 UP.Browser/4.1.26l UP.Link/5.0.2.9)

What resolution was the one for the external?

Posted by: Kricket

well...i just used the same .gif for both - im not sure what the resolution is - it looks kind of cheesy but im only using it to test out the animation

on the internal screen - it takes up about half the screen

for the external - i just applied it with the stretch

if you wanna see is - go to wap.sonyericcson.com
i selected the z600 as my phone and there are some nice wallpapers there (check out funmap's post - that's where i got it from)

if you go under mms templates youll find some animated .gifs there - i picked the one entitled "bored at work" = cheesy, but the animation does work

Posted by: twocell

Internal res= 128x160
External res= 96x64

I got the data cable, and it's very limited. Just basic ringtone conversion mp3-mmf, and transfering graphics into the phone.

Posted by: Kricket

128x160 and 96x64 are the sizes of the pictures that would fit - im not so sure about the resolution though...

Posted by: rock_bottom

the data cable sends ringtones and graphics....do the graphics include gif files? like can you transfer gif file through cable?

Posted by: twocell

I can only send JPG and BMP files. Not GIF files. I am using the PC Sync software the cable comes with. I don't know if there are any other softwares out there that will work.

Posted by: Kricket

yeah - the pc sync software only supports jpg and bmp but - any graphics program (even ms paint) can convert gifs to jpgs or bmps

i usually just go into paint and save it as a jpg

then it wouldn't be animated right?

Posted by: rock_bottom

yah Kricket...so how did you get Animated GIFS to the phone?

you have to d/l them through WAP? its disappointing that you can't transfer them trhough the cable...

Posted by: .FLiP.MATiC.

Yes I would like to know too! Please tell us cuz I just gotten my data cable and wanna put up some animated wallpapers.

Posted by: Kricket

im only able to download gifs - i cant transfer them via the cable

wap.sonyericcson.com has a few but other than that - all the rest i have to put into an online locker and download them via wap access (see my other post about www.3gupload.com - they give you room to store pictures and ringtones and access them via wap)

Posted by: braindead5400

has anyone been sucessful in downloading off tagtag? I tried to download a 128x160 gif and it comes up blank on the phone and its only 3kb.
