Hey guys I got the data cable for the 8900 a few days ago and I've been putting ringtones and the phone just fine, here is my problem:
When I try to put images onto the phone to use as wallpaper, using bitpim 0.7, I overwrite images which I previously had on the phone fine. However, when I go into the phone and try to make the new image my background, it says "This file is invalid, erase file?"
I'm not quite sure what I'm doing wrong. I have tried this using .gif, .png, and .jpg images, and nothing seems to work. I've been looking around for a while here and can't seem to see any thread where someone mentioned this. Any ideas on how to fix it? Thanks alot for any help.

Had, the same issue once, use less colors.. =)
I didn't realize I was using truecolor. Once I switched to 256 with png, it works just fine.

Okay i tried what you said and it still didn't work.
My images are small, under 20 k, and 256 color png's. I go into bitpim 0.7, go into filesystem:MMS:OM....then i right click, go to overwrite....find the file i want, select it, it overwrites. Then i go to the phone and try to select it as the wallpaper, and it says the invalid line.

I just tried to overwrite the image with an image that I know works on the phone, and it still says it's invalid.
I had sent some backgrounds to the phone using VZpix place, and they worked, but now that I'm trying to put those very same backgrounds onto the phone via the data cable, they become invalid. Any ideas anyone?
