S55 - T9 Language Dict. Replacement

Hi there,
I am looking for some technical advice....
I have a Siemens S56 which is a US version of the ever popular
S55 phone. From the hardware perspective S56 differs from S55 in that it is limited to 900 and 1900 MHz GSM frequencies. From the software perspective it utilizes a distinct version of it which makes all the upgrades/changes problematic, as opposed to well documented (and thoroughly hacked) S55. I do not have many issues with the soft that currently resides on that mobile, with an exception of a T9 lang pack. I would like to be able to change that to one that supports POLISH. Unfortunately Poland as the rest of Europe uses S55 and not S56 so there is no software version available (that I know of) that would support POLISH on S56....
Now questions:
Is there a way to change only a language pack on my phone (LG95) na LG91/11 which supports Polish withouth flashing the whole memory? Or is there a way to download/backup the installed software from the phone, make necessary changes (T9 library) and than upload it back to the phone?
If so, what software I need to that? ( I got the serial non-OEM cable already)
How safe is the procedure?
Any tips from anybody who performed a similar operation?
Please let me know,
Thanks so much,

I saw a few weeks ago a tread on this forum about free more memory on a M55 by removing some languages of the T9. This was done by clearing a part of the memory with a special program and the rewrite only the languages you need.
Do a search and try it but it look complicated. I didn't try it bu when I change firmware on my M55 I use europe version and got Deutsch, french, english and italiano T9 languages (before that it was english, french and spanish i think)
Maybe you can put S55 firmware on it but it looks risky.

It is possible to change T9 dictionaries. You can add only Polish but the easiest way is to just replace your T9 dictionary pack with the one thet you need.
- find the fullflash .bin file of the Siemens phone that has T9 dictionaries thet you need (you can extract fullflash from your phone using V_Klay program)
- in that file, find T9 dictionaries: that block starts with "T9" string and ends with "ST9E" string (on M55 it starts at address 680000h). More info about T9 headers at
http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb//sh...&threadid=57341
- copy the whole T9 block (including starding and ending strings)
- extract the fullflash from your phone and paste the above dictionaries over your original T9 block
- save and put that new fullflash in your phone

Stargate,
Thank fos the info. I have actually figured this our few days ago based on the info from several news groups.
I used V-Klay, Simens Language Editor, Smelter and FUBU from S55 with LG91 (Polish Russian English) and....... WinHex (it's like windex, you can use it for anything
))
I could not decipher the actual T9 file/library so based on info from SMELTER I just pasted the new T9 at 400000 hex.
It works.
On the other hand the T9 dictionary provided by Siemens sucks as it lacks some basic words ( I know I did not cut anything from the file :
so now I ma looking for a way to actually edit the T9 file. First of all it would be nice to know how to decipher it and what is it structure. If you have a ny info please let me know
Thanks buddy,
Stefan
