I appreciate tat the mio 83x0 series of smartphones which are one of only few tat had an Intel Xscale 200mhz processors, but why oh why, they only provide 16MB of RAM? From the specs, even the newer 8390 also only has 16MB RAM.... Why can't they increase it to 32mb like the mpx200/E200 ........
Currently, I'm having a slight problem with my mio 8380 as my phone storage mem is only abt 2.5mb left( even though i install most of my apps in SD card which I had a 512MB ) Now I can't install the Links golf game as it requires abt 3-4mb of temp space, and they'll dump the temp install files into ur phone mem b4 asking u whether to install into phone or sd memory. At 1st I thought the lack of phone RAM can be offset by using a large sd card, but seems like this is not the case anymore.....

Here's a tip to install the Links game on the Mitac.
Browse to the Hexacto games folder on your pc. There will be a Links CAB file in the Links game folder. Copy that CAB into your SD/MMC card, then install onto your phone. Remember there are 3 cab files, so you need to install all 3 of them before you can play the game.
I only had 2.5MB of memory on my phone and that's what I did.

Maybe you guys can answer a question for me about installing games on a SD card.
I know file access speed is slower if files are on the SD card rather than in the phone's main memory. But let's suppose you have an action/graphic intensive type of game -- does game performance suffer at all if you have it installed on the SD card or does that just mean it will take longer to start the game??
I have a Samsung i600 and I guess I'm trying to figure out which programs/games I should install on my SD card and what I should install into main memory. I was thinking it would be best to keep my most-often-used programs in the main memory and keep the games and other less-used things on the SD card. But then again, the most common used things are imov messenger and some utility programs, which are not at all graphic or sound intensive.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
