I have been having trouble with my BitPim lately, everything works perfectly fine, BUT when I try to send phone data for ringers, it tells me that it had trouble Manipulating the filesystem. I have tried everything, but I have come to the conclusion that I don't know what the hell i'm doing. Can anyone please help me before I jump out the window out of frustration? Thanks!

do you have the straight through cable?

if so get the one with the lump that converts to serial. Its what i am goign to do tmrw

I have the straight through cable, but it was working fine for a long time. I had no problem with it. I guess I'm gonna have to change to the serial cable, BUT I don't know which one to get. Which serial cable by futuredial actually works with the vx4400?????

Radio Shack #17-783 is the cable I got. Serial to USB. Works fine.

I have the USB to serial cable (with the box in the middle) and it works with BITPIM but will not work with futuredial snapDialer software and I cannot get it to work as a modem (for dialing).
Futuredial said I need the one without the box in the middle. BITPIM strongly says to use the one with the box in the middle.

Anyone know how I can get this cable with the bosx in the middle to work as a modem AND with bitpim ???????
