Bit Pim Problem!!!!

Hey guys, what's up!! Having a problem with bitpim. Every version I have downloaded has done the same thing.(currently using .7 test 4). The program opens fine. When I try to get data from phone the program says busy(lower left corner of screen) but then freezes up . When I say freeze the whole system freezes. Ctrl+alt+del does not even work just a hard reset.

I am using the verizon wirless cable with lg drivers that were included in the package. I have also gone to bitpim settings browsed ports, it reports phone is on com 4(and lists lg usb driver)and I have also set bit pim to use com 4

.In case you were wondering I am using windows xp and the lg pc sync software works 100% of the time(so the port is working). I have deleted and downloaded all software at least three times to no avail.

What drivers I use the ones from some website they gave me (not the cd) and with the lg specific version of .63 (or something like that) and it says busy for a few seconds but after that it works fine

I recently redid my pc because i got a new motherboard, etc & when i run bitpim 6.2(vx6000 fixed & original 6.2) or the new 7.x it says busy in bottom left & locks my whole pc up, keyboard, etc. PCSync works fine. I have my cable (from verizon) hooked to a usb hub, & i am using the lg usb drivers off the cd, i couldnt find any updated drivers online.

yes i am.. i got it working somehow, i set the phone fom usb to com & it worked. if it didn't what were you going to suggest

I was not going to suggest any thing, I'm the one with the problem.

Anyway I'm still having problems with bitpim!

Have you tried setting your camera to use com port instead of usb? it worked for me

What do you mean by camera. If you mean in phone data settings. I have tried switching between usb and rs232c(serial).

I have the same problem, Pent 4, 2800, Asus P4C800, winXP/pro, new VX6000 with cable that works Plug and Play on my laptop, but crashes/lockups/causes a scandisk to fix cross files.

I looked at another forum, an they said to update USB drivers or replace Motherboard
