P900 - Remove Chinese Language

Got my P900 from Hong Kong last week, it came with the English/Chinese language setup.

Anyhow, just dropped it off at the Carphone WareHouse (UK), and they're reflashing it for me. Under warrenty, free of charge.

Picking it up in a few hours. I'll report back later as to what version software I get.

Thanks. There are a few of us out there who will be interested in the outcome.

Carphone Warehouse don't have the software to do the job.

They're sending my P900 to the SE service center. Apparently they will do it. Still free, under warrenty.

The downside is that it'll take 2-3 weeks. Ah well, back to the T68 :-/

Just got my P900 back. SE had it for 2 weeks and have returned it UNTOUCHED.

I just spoke to their 'technical support' (haha), and they tell me that the Chinese language CANNOT be removed as it's a different phone to the UK version.

I asked them if my phone is covered by their global warrenty, and they said 'Yes'. So, I ask, what happens if the phone breaks ? Will it be replaced with a UK version ?? 'Don't know' was the rather helpful answer from SE.

What a joke.

Ouch! That hurts as I am quite unhappy with the bugs I have in the Chienese version.

Plus, Jot writing recognition is terrible and I was hoping the English version would do better.
