Originally posted by Talinth Just got my i730 the other day. Got it hooked up to ***** just fine, put a few wallpapers on it. Questions: 1) I've loaded some wallpapers on there that take up space, but don't show on my list. Any way to deleate them? 2) On the main screen, with the wallpaper showing, there is the word "Nextel" (or sometimes "No Service") and underneath that, the clock. While I have been able to figure out how to turn the clock off, is there a way to stop the display of the "Nextel" line? It's blocking my wallpapers, and bugs me alot. 3) I turned the clock off so it wouldn't block my wallpapers. Now, when my flip is closed, it doesn't show the clock on my external LCD. Is it possible to have the clock one place and not the other? Nextel support was less than helpfull. Any info would be appreciated. Feel free and flame me, and point me to other threads on the same questions, telling me I should have looked it up first. /shrug. Perhaps I should have. Talinth. |
Welcome to hofo
| 1) Yes, just go to the selected wallpaper and press the menu key. It will bring up an option to delete the wallpaper (only on the ones you have loaded) |

Originally posted by Talinth I saw on another post someone having a similar problem to mine. I load the wallpapers, they take up space. They however do not show up on the list of wallpapers (I've got a few to work, but they no longer show). Is there a way to delete them WITHOUT having to use the phone? I know ***** won't do it, but I haven't tried any of the others. Ideas? |
| How many wallpapers have you downloaded and havent shown up? They might be in there taking up space but not showing up for you to select. |
| I am having the same problem with my i730. The picture is taking up memory, but is not showing up. Now I don't know how to get my memory back |

Originally posted by Talinth I will direct to this thread. A quote about halfway down... and another The problem was never resolved on this post. I would have replied there, if not for my abundance of other questions. The problem however is the same. The pictures upload. My free space decreases. But they aren't listed to select, and thus cannot be deleated from the phone (that I know of). Is there a way to wipe the memory, or a program that will list all the wallpapers via a PC connection and delete them as such? I've got no clues, and I'm down about 500k because of this. Any help/ideas appreciated, as always. |
"damn i dont know the file names of the bad pics!" then sorry your screwed, I cant help there!

Originally posted by Revo023 Talinth yes there is a way to delete wallpapers that take up space but do not show up on your list. FIRST THE PROBLEM: For some reason the pic you uploaded was not in the correct format so it IS in your phone but not able to show on your list. THE SOLUTION: 1) find a pic that uploads correctly(one that shows up on your list) 2) on your computer rename the good one to the exact name of the bad pic that didnt show up. 3) upload the renamed pic. it will overwrite the bad pic on your phone. 4) now you can delete it from you phone in the wallpaper list. NOW you have more space on you phone! for multiple bad pics go back to step 2 By the way: if your thinking to yourself "damn i dont know the file names of the bad pics!" then sorry your screwed, I cant help there!
