3 differet data cable for VX6000 ?

So I seem to find at least 3 different data cables for the LG VX6000. Can anyone tell me if one is better than the other?

1. USB cable that acts as a serial cable, does NOT charge

2. USB cable that acts as a serial cable, does charge while hooked up

3. New USB cable that actually acts as a USB cable

Now from my uderstanding they all allow you to use your phone to use the Internet if need be. They all allow upload/download of ringtone/pics/wallpaper/etc. So what's the deal people? Which is the best and where should I buy it...ebay, tangshop?

I have the on charging cable.

I would never get the charging one. You battery is only good for so many charging cycles and every time you plug it in your taking one of those charge cycles away. Your battery will be toast if you use it often.

Whatever. The VX6000 has a Li-Ion battery. Lithium Ion begins a slow death once it is manufactured (so it's already dying before you even buy the phone). You cannot speed up the process unless your charger is defective and does not properly trickle charge when it is full.

Update your battery info. There is no "memory" either with lithium ion.

Who said anything about memory?

Li-Ion batteries have "X" amount of charge cycles. You kill one off every time you charge it.

Looks like your the one who needs to "update your battery info."

A lithium-ion battery provides 300-500 discharge/charge cycles. The battery prefers a partial rather than a full discharge. Frequent full discharges should be avoided when possible. Instead, charge the battery more often or use a larger battery. There is no concern of memory when applying unscheduled charges.

Lithium ion batteries do not take kindly to frequent full or complete discharges. When possible, the optimal usage pattern - for any lithium ion battery - is a partial discharge, followed by recharging. A partial discharge can be anything less than a full discharge.

Again I'll ask....when did I ever say anything about Li-Ion having "Memory" problems?

hahaha...i have no information on how a battery charges or not. I just wanted to say thanks for the laugh you two.

A "charge cycle" is a 100% discharge/recharge. Fractional discharges count as fractional cycles.
