Adding a white lcd as flash?

I was wondering if anyone has added a bright lcd light like on samsung for a picture flash. I was thinking about trying it on my new 3620 but really dont want to risk it. May try on an older model. Anyone have any ideas how I could give it power to the battery? I could make a little on off switch or something maybe so I wouldnt have to wire anything directly in the phone. Just wanted to here some of your opinions
