Hello, i got a gd88 and i was in the process of starting the unlocking process and the software that i was using is Winmodo v3.3 and it told me "signaling" and i turned on the phone! by mistake i think i pressed the stop button and then i unplugged the cable! Now the problem is that the phone will NOT turn on or when i try to flash it again it will not signal when i press the power button??????????????
HELP ME PLEASE WITH HOW I CAN AT LEAST GET THE PHONE TO POWER BACK ON? or help with nything that might help???

HELP?????

First of all, not to panic.
Secondly, good news and bad news for you.
Bad news first. You should not have unplugged the cable when the flashing stopped.
Good news: Your phone might not be dead yet. What you need to do is to start winmodo again and try to flash the phone again. If it does not work, you are doomed.

Rule of thumb: Not to unplug the cable!

im sorry, if ur phone fails to signal, then your phone is a gone...ER... shouldnt have disconnected the cable while signaling. Take out battery, and run winmodo again, GOOD LUCK, this happened to someone and i try to revive it, and NO LUCK

Now, what exactly do you mean by doomed??? Not even panasonic can fix the phone? It's more expensive to fix than to buy a new one?
I'm in the exact same situation, and so far I haven't been able to find a solution, mostly because I live outside the US and over here my phone's warranty is not valid.
Is there anyone in this forum who's been able to revive a GD87/88 after a flashing catastrophe like this one? Anyone?
I find it hard to believe that although the most expensive part of the phone is intact (the hardware), the phone is doomed...

hmmm..... what he means by doom is: GONE, may it RIP, or like ushers new song, "let it burn."

You can send it to panasonic but im sure they can figure out that it has been tampered with ... flashing a phone is very dangerous and if not done properly it can prove to be fatal... if you can fix it that easy i think everyone would be flashing their phone and won't be paying others to do it... anyhow goood luck, i hope u can figure it out...

When your phone is dead, the best thing is to get to a panasonic shop. They will be able to change the pcb for you at a price. It is very expensive to do so. Furthermore the cause of it is due to your fault. Yeah...flashing is a risk. Do it at your own risk...

Well, against all odds, yesterday I bought a brand new 8910i. No camera, no poly ringtones.. however, the reception/voice quality is ages ahead of my GU87... Plus, the build quality is awesome...
Overall, for what it really matters (making calls), it is much better than the pana. And I'm also getting bluetooth and java...
I'll use it mostly for work calls and I'll probably buy a GX22 in the future... who knows...
BTW, anyone have any idea how much it would cost to send my gu87 to pana to have it fixed?
