Connection problem with my new 7100 (Win XP)

I recently bought a 7100 and it worked find for a couple of weeks but after i reinstalled windows i cant seem to connect my phone to the computer.
I use the cable that was incl with the box, an LG Contents bank. but when I hit connect button in freezes
anyone have any Idea what I might have done?
