Hello all,

I was wondering, I just purchased a TCC Q285, and it is great!! The RF is excellent, the sound quality is great, although the earpiece volume could be a bit louder. But I have a small problem, the instruction manual as well as the included software are in Chinese, and I do not speak, or read Chinese, is there anyone out there that has already translated the manual/software to english, or is willing to help out a fellow phone geek and do a little translating?

I am having the SAME problem

I bought one for my Son- and so far the phone is pretty nifty- but unless you can read chinese (taiwanese or whatever), you're pretty much out of luck as far as manual and software go.

We couldn't figure out how to set the picture caller id, or upload a picture or ringtone.... Or do the EMS/MMS stuff (sending color pictures to each other)...

If there are ANY english links, please share

so u 2 are sayin that the phone is all in chinese??

no, the phone has english menus, but the manual and the software that it comes with is in Chinese.

Does anyone have ENGLISH software? or at least know how to install/upload graphics and ringtones into the phone? We have not been able to get the picture caller id to work- or the caller groups... CANT FIGURE IT OUT.

Side note: The phone itself has english menus/phone book and predictive text input too - that's pretty cool, the keypad only has 1 english character on it (ie: the 2 has A on it, not ABC) and chinese symbols...

I have managed to upload images for wallpaper and caller ID, and to assign the pictures to people in my address book, I will take some screenshots and post them on my website later tonight, I will post a link when it is up.

I paid $280, I bought it from someone on ebay, you should check it out, there are at least half a dozen for sale there.

Here is the start of the english translation of the software for the TCC Q285, I hope this helps, let me know if you have figured out anything more than I have, or if you have any other tips that I should add, or if you have any corrections. I plan on adding a full review of the phone in the future, I just have to get a camera.

Hi:

I would also be interested in any english conversion of the users manual. I like the phone, but I'd like it a lot better if I could better understand its many functions.
