Anybody tried to bring this thing from UK and use it in Canada? Is unlocking possible? Any kind of reviews? These things are cheap on ebay.

One thing I'll say... it's really BIG!

BTW This is the new A925

what would be the point of having a 3G phone and only using the GSM features??? especially when it's so much bigger??
I guess being one of the first and getting attention could be a reason and the "must have new gadget" factor also comes into play, as I d love to get my hand on the Z1010 or its successor. But I think you d end up getting mad that you re not making use of all the phone's capabilities or potential in the end.

It's like saying...I'm gonna get a Lambo...but i won't drive it past 50 MPH....mmmm sure you d wanna kick yourself in the nuts if you couldn't.

Yeah, you have a point. But on the other hand, it might be nice to be able to get a UIQ phone for a couple of hundred bucks. Also in specs they say that it has GPS built in. Now I wounder if it is the GSM location based services or the sat. service. Cuz I don't thik GSM version is called GPS (as in GLOBAL Positioning System).

The A920/A925 use "A-GPS"

Note the "A" - A being "Assisted".

It is partially sat based (look in the back of an A920, and you'll see lots of nice holes for a GPS ariel), but since its assisted, it also triangulates your postion (badly) against your service providers transmitters.

Long and short of it. If your SP supports AGPS... its nice... otherwise... wait till a nice world and unlocked version appears...

Well, it is equipped with A-GPS but the phone is quite good though especially with the A925 but it is really bulky. I don't mind using it all the time as I do not have a laptop with me. It is useful and I can watch mtv files much better as it has a bigger screen. It is about individual style.
